Often lately we have heard the recently-coined term “food insecurity,” meaning that people didn’t have a consistent amount of access to enough food for them to be healthy. I am arguing today that America is rapidly sinking into “moral insecurity,” meaning that morality has become so disregarded and denigrated that people don’t have a consistent amount of conscience to care about foundational morality, so much so that our society is unhealthy.

Free speech is one of the most dangerous forces on Earth—for benefit or harm. It creates power and suppresses power. By it, governments rise and fall, ideologies succeed or fail, ideas gain traction or are extinguished, and by it people are sovereign or enslaved. It’s why some authorities seek to suppress it, and why many agents work to express it.

It is a timeless mistake to make God the way we want him to be rather than the way he tells us he is. Let’s get our information about God from God’s self-revelation, the Bible, instead from our own choices and values. Don’t put words in Jesus’s mouth.

We talk about the character and nature of prophecy and the nature of apocalyptic writing. In the process we talk about the biblical idea of hope, the Corona virus, and the book of Daniel.

We are hearing lots of people tell us how the Bible’s End Times prophecies are lining up with current events. What we are lacking is someone telling us how biblical prophecies are to be understood. We have talked about the importance of theology to teach us how to understand what the Bible is telling us about certain subjects; we have talked about people’s need to understand eschatology—a study of the End Times.
