Steve Ray joins me this week to discuss the Blessed Virgin Mary. We discuss many things such as what he thought of Mary as an evangelical, the various Marian dogmas such as her perpetual virginity and the title of Mother of God. We also discuss the title of Queen of Heaven, and the various biblical texts that support the Catholic position. It is an enlightening interview, and as always, Steve provides great evidence backed by scripture and history. Below are some recent blog posts that Steve wrote on the topic: https://catholicconvert.com/blog/2020/08/15/mary-queen-of-heaven/ https://catholicconvert.com/blog/2020/08/14/how-can-mary-be-sinless-if-she-rejoices-in-god-my-savior/ Learn more about Steve and check out his impressive resources at catholicconvert.com

Legendary Catholic apologist Karl Keating is our special guest. We will discuss his new book 1054 and all that.

Terry Delp-Taking it to the streets

The entire history of the Catholic Church is prefigured by the entire history of the Israelites in the Old Testament. The parallels are "event by event" and even in the same chronological order. These parallels take us past Vatican II and even to our present day. A special emphasis on the parallels between the books of the Machabees and the events surrounding Vatican Il, and how those parallels seem to unravel prophecies in the Book of Daniel about the "abomination of desolation."

I want to talk about the authority God established in the Catholic Church today but I want to start by setting the stage with some simple reasoning so people have a clear understanding of why there has to be authority. We will then begin to show the authority God established.

So, people come from all different environmental influences including different churches which include the origins of those churches, all accept the Catholic Church being a creation of man. Every church which calls itself Christian that is not Catholic, finds itself as originally in schism from the Catholic Church, in schism from an original schismatic church or something completely separated from the original schismatic’s.

So every one of them in their process of being created, to some level or another, developed an image through new interpretations of scripture or a process of elimination of certain texts by calling them metaphorical, in the goal of separation from the Catholic Church.

Today Steve Ray joins me to talk about what it means to be born again. We discuss what we meant by it when we were both evangelicals, but he digs deep into scripture. Starting with the Old Testament Steve works forward to get the proper context of John Chapter 3 and what it means to be born again the Bible way. He has a great article on his website www.catholicconvert.com where he goes into detail on everything we discuss.
