The 40k Lorecast

On today's cast we start our coverage of the Grey Knights by focusing on their origin from the Horus Heresy.  We open with, arguably the most exciting book of the Horus Heresy the Flight of the Eisenstein.  From Nathaniel Garro’s discovery of the rebellion, through his journey back to Terra.  After that we focus on the formation of the Knights Errant and their adventures in service to Malcador.  We then close with the end of the Knights Errant as they are given an new purpose by the Emperor.

On todays cast we conclude our coverage of the Lore of Mortarian and Typhus.  We open with the events leading up to the Istvaan III massacre and the Flight of the Eisenstein.  Thereby marking the first serious public rift between Mortarian and Typhus.  We then spend some time talking about each of their paths post drop site massacre.  After that we dive into the conversion of the Death Guard to servants of Nurgle.  After that we spend time on the rise of Typhus in service to Nurgle, they become the best of friends.  We then finish with the most recent events in the 41st millenia for Typhus and Mortarian.

On today's cast we begin our coverage of the story of the Death Guard.  Namely that stories of Mortarian and Typhus.  We start with the story of Mortarian’s arrival on Barbarus and the revolution he leads there.  Then the arrival of the Emperor and Mortarian taking control of his legion.  From there we flip over to the origins of Typhus and his rise next to Mortarian. From his early days on Barbarus, to his fighting next to Mortarian, and then to the beginning of the rift between the two of them.  We then close with the secret fall of Typhus to Chaos.

On todays Episode we conclude our coverage of the Officio Assassinorum.  We dive into all 6 temples, actually we even cover the short lived 7th temple.  We focus first on each factions style and purpose.  We then move onto their equipment and weaponry and how said equipment and weaponry help them achieve their missions.  We then have a little fun talking about some of the crazy stories from the lore about the assassin’s themselves

On todays episode we begin our coverage of the Officio Assassinorum.  We start with a quick delve into the Schola Progenium, and get out of that as quickly as possible.  We then talk about the history of the Assassins on Terra from before the Unification Wars up to the start of the Great Crusade.  Then we talk a lot about the value the Assassin brought to the Imperium during the Great Crusade and then into the Horus Heresy.  We then finish off with the Assassins between M32 and M41 and the “learning” the imperium had to go through about their powers and capabilities.

On today’s episode, we dive into the Sisters of Silence.  We start with an in depth dive into the Pariah gene.  From there we talk about the mysterious rise of the sisters from the unification wars into the great crusade with the daughters of the Crow.  We then talk about what a sister of silence is and how they function as an organization.  We then move onto their growth during the great crusade and their “disappearance” after the fall of the emperor.  We then close on their resurgence since the return of Guilliman.

On Today’s episode we dive into the Adeptus Custodes.  We start with the process of making a Custode, both the creation and training of them.  We then move into their history within the Imperium and what their purpose was for the emperor and how it evolved as the imperium grew and changed.  We then move into their resurgence at the conclusion of Abaddon’s 13th black crusade.  We then finish with a dive into the stories of Valdor and Trajan.

On today's episode we conclude (for now) our coverage of the Eldar.  We dive into the weaponry and vehicles that the Eldar bring to bear on the battlefield.  With some especial fan-boying about how broken and annoying they have been over the editions.  We then jump into Wraithhosts who are both amazing and, in the case of the Wraith Knight, game breaking.  Because we had some time left over, we decided it was a good time to tell the first part of the Ynnari story so as to set up some future casts about them.
