On today's podcast, Pastor Cameron contrasts the house of David with the house of Saul. As the two houses jostled for control of Israel, David gradually became stronger while Saul's line gradually became weaker, just as those who follow the Spirit will always prevail in the end over those who follow the flesh. 

After years of being on the run, and only days after losing everything at Ziklag, David became the king of the tribe of Judah! The promises God gave him years before were starting to be fulfilled, as Pastor Cameron shows us on today's episode.

After about 10 years of running, it was finally time for David to be king - but he still faced one more tremendous test. At Ziklag David and his men lost everything, before David encouraged himself in the Lord and wound up recovering all and spoiling the enemy. His greatest moment was right around the corner from his greatest defeat, as Pastor Cameron shows us today! 

Even while running from Saul, in his most precarious moments, David wrote and sang of the Lord as His refuge. He did not wait until after His deliverance came, but found refuge in God during his worst times, as Pastor Cameron shows us on today's episode. 

On today's episode, Pastor Cameron shares the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail. Nabal was a foolish man who's impudent actions almost led David to kill him and his house, but the grace and wisdom of Abigail saved David from taking this vengeful action. 

While Saul was chasing David with an army of 3000 men, David had a chance to kill Saul and assume his throne. David refused to take vengeance, however, and let Saul go, as Pastor Cameron discusses on today's episode. 

Join Pastor Cameron as we start a new week on the podcast, looking at the men who followed David while he was running from Saul. He was faithful to these broken men, and they became a mighty army, loyal to him! 

Jonathan and David were close friends, and Jonathan was extremely sacrificial and loyal in this relationship. If we would have close friends, we must display these qualities as well, as Pastor Cameron discusses on today's episode.
