During this week leading up to Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Cameron takes a break from the Heroes of Faith series to focus on 5 Easter messages.  In the first 3 messages, we will answer this question - what's so good about Good Friday?  Why do Christians commemorate a day when our Messiah, Savior, and Lord was brutally killed on the cross?  

The first reason is that Good Friday means God's wrath is gone - Jesus was the propitiation for our sins.  God's anger is no longer against those who have put their faith in Him, because Jesus absorbed that anger on the cross!

When we surrender our hopes and dreams to God, He is able to bring them back to life!  Join Pastor Cameron as we are reminded - sacrificing in the path of obedience always leads to reward, as we serve a God who can do the impossible!

Join Pastor Cameron today as we see the amazing extent of Abraham's obedience - he was willing to sacrifice his beloved son in order to obey God's commands.  God stopped Abraham from actually going through with the sacrifice, but his obedient sacrifice foreshadowed the Father's sacrifice of His own Son; God the Father did not stop but offered the sacrifice for us to Himself, so that we could be saved from death to life!

Faith and obedience are intricately connected - if we truly have faith it will lead us to obey God's commands!  Abraham was willing to obey God, even when it seemed to require the sacrifice of his beloved son - on today's podcast Pastor Cameron encourages us that our faith will invariably lead to works of obedience.  Works cannot save us, but being saved by faith will be reflected in our works!
