Michael, Nate, & Stan's conversation about Pennywise didn't end when the mics cut. The guys continue discussing the film "IT" and take a few detours along the way into topics like Bates Motel, Stranger Things, and even a short film about what would have happened if Georgie had survived his encounter with pennywise.
This Halloween, Host Nate Lane is turning back the pages to one of the most terrifying book collections of the ’90s! Nate takes us back to the school library shelves where Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark had an entire generation of kids reading by flashlight… and questioning every strange noise they heard for years after.
Written by Alvin Schwartz and brought to life by Stephen Gammell’s nightmare-inducing illustrations, the original trilogy began with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (1981), followed by More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (1984) and Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill Your Bones (1991). These books may have haunted ’90s childhoods, but their roots reach much further back, drawing from folklore, traditional ghost stories, and urban legends passed down for generations—some older than our Great Grandparents!
Join Nate for a quick trip through this legendary horror trilogy and revisit the stories that made library visits, sleepovers, and turning off the bedroom lights a whole lot scarier. 👻📚
BEEP BEEP Richie. 🤡
Remember when Halloween on Nickelodeon meant an entire month of creepy cartoons, spooky specials, candy, and some of the most memorable shows of the 1990s?
Michael Reagan and Nate Lane are joined by returning guest host Stan AKA @Nostalgiaatnite on Instagram for a Halloween trip back to the golden era of Nickelodeon and the classic Nick or Treat holiday block!
For this special, each of our three Rewinders has selected a spooky episode from a beloved 90s Nickelodeon classic: Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, and Hey Arnold! But we're keeping the exact episodes under wraps!
And we're doing things a little differently this time. Rather than simply recapping each episode, Michael, Nate, and Stan tell their chosen stories as campfire tales, taking us back to the weird, creepy, hilarious, and sometimes surprisingly dark side of 90s Nickelodeon. Which show gets the creepiest tale? Which one brings back the strongest Halloween memories? And which story will have you checking over your shoulder when the lights go out?
But that's not all!
Michael and Nate have become obsessed with the new movie-ranking app Cinova, and in this episode they talk about what makes the app so addictive, why ranking and comparing movies can become such a rabbit hole, and why they've spent way more time on it than they probably intended. 😂
Want to see what all the obsession is about? Follow the guys @90sRewindMikey and @90sRewindNate on Cinova and compare your movie rankings with theirs!
But for now, grab some marshmallows, and gather around the campfire…Because we're going back to the 90s for Nick or Treat! 🎃

Welcome to the inaugural episode of Once Upon A Rewind: Pages from the past—the official book club of the 90s Rewind Report, hosted by Michael Reagan—where we kick things off by digging into Louis Sachar’s classic, Holes.
We are grabbing our shovels and heading back to Camp Green Lake. As kids, we read this unforgettable story for the wild adventure and the sharp comedy. Today, we are brushing off the dirt to uncover the deeper, heavier themes of family curses, historical injustice, redemption, and fate that we totally missed on our first read through.
A Quick Note on the Sound: If the audio sounds a little rough around the edges, blame it on the mysterious curse of B.O.B. striking our debut recording session! (if you know, you know) Rather than delaying our very first book club meeting, we decided to push forward and get the conversation out into the world. A freshly polished, re-recorded version of this episode will replace the current audio file down the road, but we wanted you sitting right out on the dry lake bed with us for day one.
In this episode of The 90s Rewind Report, host Michael Reagan sits down with Mike Judge (aka Bill Rectangle), author of Stenhouse: Growing up in Edinburgh and Beyond, for a nostalgic look back at growing up on the cusp of a defining decade. While known for his literary work, Mike joins the show to dive deep into his personal history, sharing stories about his transition from his teen years into early adulthood during the late 1980s and early 1990s. From the shifting pop culture landscape to the unique trial-and-error of adolescent life during those pivotal years, Michael and Mike unpack what it was really like to come of age at the dawn of the 90s.
The truth is out there, and the guys are determined to find it! This week on The 90s Rewind Report, hosts Michael Reagan and Nate Lane are back alongside special guest Stan (@nostalgiaatnite on Instagram) for Part 2 of their supernatural television spectacular.
🏚️ Two haunted houses. One year. One clear winner.
In this episode of The 90s Rewind Report, Michael Reagan and Nate Lane step inside two very different versions of 1999 horror: House on Haunted Hill and The Haunting. Both films brought big stars, big houses, and plenty of supernatural chaos to the big screen — but which remake actually delivered the better haunted-house experience?
Joining Michael and Nate once again is guest host Stan (@nostalgiaatnite on Instagram), returning to play devil’s advocate and serve as the potential tiebreaker if the guys find themselves completely gridlocked.
Spoiler alert: they didn't.
In fact, when the dust settled, there was a pretty clear winner among all three of them.
But which movie took the crown?
Was it House on Haunted Hill… or The Haunting?
Can you guess which one they picked? And more importantly… do you agree?
Press play, step inside the time machine, and prepare for a trip back to 1999 — because this haunted-house showdown is about to get interesting. 👻🏚️
