Skills and gear - Having the right mindset - Neighborhood prepping |||
In this episode, Tyler from @darkwinterconcepts joins us to delve into the nuances of preparedness and the value of planning from a community standpoint. We discuss a measured approach to prepping, underscoring the importance of starting with small steps to avoid burnout and excess stress, as well as acquiring fundamental skills. The conversation also navigates through the aspects of investing in alternative energy, the role of communication in your plan, and the new addition to Tyler's family!
Chest rigs - Lessons learned - Finding time to train after having kids |||
We discuss Jordan's first time shooting competitively at InRange TV's Woodland Brutality!

Gonzo Journalism - Right-wing violence - The risks of reporting |||
Alissa Azar is an independent journalist in the Pacific Northwest who is not only well-known by those who share her sentiments, but also by those who disagree. We are super pumped to share this conversation with y'all about her experience as a gonzo journalist, covering right-wing violence and police brutality, as well as what she's had to deal with as a direct result of shining a light on those issues from the frontlines. We had a great time with Alissa and have so much more to discuss, but we're sure you'll enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did recording it.
Breaking stereotypes - Hunting hogs - Dealing with haters |||
HoodNeck was one of the first pages we found in this space so we were super pumped to get Chris on the show. We talked about everything from helping kids in the inner city, his big break at SHOT Show, dealing with Karen's, and more. Chris is cool as hell and his organization is breaking the stereotypes so many people still unfortunately have about black gun owners. Y'all are going to love this episode.
Women in airsoft - Double standards - Bathrooms in the woods |||
In this episode, we sit down with the one and only Leah Del Castillo aka The Tactical Unicorn to discuss her presence in the airsoft world, and what it's like as a woman in a historically male-dominated sport. We question how to transition to a culture where women are valued for their merits over their bodies, while also supporting those who wish to express their sexuality. Leah tells us in what ways she had to adapt as a woman in airsoft, why we need to do a better job acknowledging gun violence, how to poop in the woods, and much more! We had a great time with Leah and think y'all are going to love this episode!
Honor - Responsibility - Arming those who benefit the most |||
Join us as we sit down with host of Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff and Live Like The World Is Dying, and founder of the black metal band, Feminazgûl, Margaret Killjoy. We discuss the responsibility we have as gun owners not only to ourselves, but our fellow gun owners, building a culture that doesn't rely on laws to prevent gun violence (imagine that), and why it's so important for marginalized people to be armed. We talk about how trauma can affect your views, and Jordan checks Magpie's "weirdo privilege". We had a ton of fun on this one and really think y'all are going to love it.
Shady hotels - Drone Scares - Providing aid to the Ukrainian front |||
In this episode, Jordan drives to Rhode Island to hang out with Eddy, a friend of A Better Way 2A, and the reason behind all of that rad Bakhmut swag we fundraised with a while back. We initially met Eddy (as an internet person) while he was en route to Ukraine to volunteer, and have always wanted to share his story with you all. We discuss how and why Eddy got involved, what it was like for him in Ukraine, and what his plans are now that he's back. Andrew's internet decided to yeet itself into oblivion for this episode so it's mostly just Jordan and Eddy, however we had to remove some laggy audio at the end when Andrew tried to join again. If it sounds a bit choppy at the end, that's why. Enjoy the episode!

Spanking - Our first public event - Kids seeing your gun for the first time |||
Join Jordan and Andrew as they discuss A Better Way 2A's first public event, and the importance of touching grass to get an accurate view of the world around you. We talk about road rage and de-escalation, choosing to use privilege to your advantage, and how spanking is for adults, not kids. Andrew also tells us about his experience the first time his kid saw him carrying a gun and how that went. In this episode, we are joined by some of our Patreon supporters who had a chance to call in as well!
Emotional reporting - Skewed gun stats - Keeping the media reliable |||
Join us as we sit down with writer, CNN contributer, and founder of The Reload: Stephen Gutowski. We chat about his experience writing in the 2A space, and discuss the "what" and the "why" behind mainstream media getting so much wrong when it comes to guns. We talk about the benefit of unbiased reporting, being honest even when it hurts, the future of recreational weed as gun owners, and more!

Getting up to speed - Temporary wound cavities - Hating us 'cuz they ain't us |||
Join us this week as we sit down with Queer Armorer to talk about being a resource for people looking for gun content without the "baggage". We talk about the aftermath of the Covenant School shooting when Tucker Carlson used an interview clip of them to gaslight Trans folks, and why people like him feel so threatened by "different" people arming themselves. We discuss the double standards of the gun community, why Leftist gun owners are sometimes referred to as "temporary gun owners" , and how shooting at ballistic dummies isn't scientific, but it is fun.

The American gun community is more diverse - and more polarized - than ever. The idea of nuance is dying, but Jordan, Andrew, Matt and their guests are determined to save it.
