Although David had many a splendid foil for his on-stage antics over the years, no one compares to the dazzling Spider with the Platinum Hair. From his roots on the mean streets of 1960’s Hull - to the dyed-blonde roots of Glam Rock’s greatest guitarist - this, the first of two episodes looking at the life of Mick, sees Rob and Marc follow him from his School Days - into a Showbiz Daze.

In this episode Rob and Marc fearlessly tackle a Quite Quirky letter of the alphabet with only a couple of Quips to protect their Quivering shells! They’re just showing off now! Yes - it’s the letter Q. That’ll be Q for Queer… a word often bandied around in the early 70’s, sadly more often than not in a less than pleasant manner. Q also invites David’s one-time collaborators Queen to the party, not to mention Quatermass and the Pit.

This next episode of our canter through Bowie’s life sees our glamorous subject reclaim his title as a risk taker and - quite literally -an outsider artist with his 1995 dark masterpiece ‘Outside’. Funnily enough - Marc saw one of the 1995 tour dates ‘outside’... in an arena in the USA...as you will find out if you download and listen to this latest missive from the North of England. Also under the microscope is the scene of one of Bowie’s most infamous (and hilarious) on stage routines… and The Old Grey Whistle Test is revisited too. All courtesy of Rob Hughes and Marc Riley (Research, Delivery + Bumbling,) Howard Nock (Master Editor) and Jason Read (Visualisation). Please feel free to leave a review too. Thanks all! X

Just when you thought it was safe to put the ginger-hair tint away Ziggy came back from the dead. For 3 nights only Bowie and various luminaries took to the stage of Londons legendary Marquee club to film a problematic TV Special. The 1980 Floor Show. Also in this episode Marc and Rob tackle the unexpected gift that was the Next Day opus… and his fellow Glamsters The New York Dolls.

In this continuing sweep of every nook and cranny of our heroes life Rob and Marc tread gently all over an album that was in reality (pardon the pun) as bit of a let down (pardon another pun). Yes we’re talking Never Let me Down…concocted in David's Mid-80’s Big Hair years. Also under the microscope is legendary tub-thumper Tony Newman whose self-doubt can be swept to one side upon putting the gripping David Live album on your turntable…or 8 Track Cart.

Christmas comes early in this the 3rd and final part of the Bowie related letter ‘M’ where Marc and Rob pay homage to the legendary London RnB spawning ground known as The Marquee, plus there are lovingly crafted dissections of the Bowie curated Meltdown festival, Mercury Records, David’s personal Heavyweight minder Tony Mascia…and apparently the only ever Prison Flick where no-one tries to escape - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence.

Ensconced within this slice of Bowie’s history is an unabashed celebration of DAVID’S first truly unique work. The proto Prog/ Metal beast that is THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD. It’s a 37 minute escapade riddled with torment, mental instability, new found love… and an LP cover that sent Grannies running to the hills. A Masterpiece in short. Here we also welcome our heroes Mick Ronson and Woody Woodmansey to the fold. OH MY OH MY….....
