How important is timing when launching a new company?
It used to be that everyone said, "Location, location, location." However, it's now entirely possible for a business to add & remove locations without any interruption to its day-to-day workflow.
Combine that with the importance of disrupting existing markets, and it could be possible that timing is now more important than the location of some businesses.
This episode showcases the importance of timing with Toni Desrosiers, the founder of Abeego and the inventor of beeswax food wrap. While rapidly gaining popularity today, there was no conversation around beeswax food wrap 10 years ago when it was invented. This created a handful of struggles for the company, a lot of which are discussed here.
In 2008 there was a global recession & almost no conversation surrounding the effect of plastic trashing our environment. Despite the struggles, and motivated with a desire to KEEP FOOD ALIVE, Toni set out with a desire to change the industry. A little under a decade after starting, she is doing just that.
Hear Toni's story that starts with a lemonade stands & a simple lawn care service and continues today with a global beeswax food brand that is changing the impact of food waste, extending the life of your food, and consequently disrupting the plastics industry.
In today's episode we'll cover a variety of topics, including the following:
Our goal in this episode is that you will hear about Toni's experience & expertise and find motivation, research your industry, and push through some of the more difficult times that you're sure to face along your entrepreneurship journey.
