In Episode 9 of the ABR Garage, the video podcast from Adventure Bike Rider, we discuss whether it's better to travel alone or as part of a guided motorcycle tour if you want to have the adventure of a lifetime.

There are plus sides to both approaches, and James, Bryn, and Ollie call upon their extensive experience of riding to argue the case.

From ending up in a stranger's hot tub in Norway, to seeing some of the world's most incredible landscapes thanks to the knowledge of tour guides, in this episode you'll hopefully learn which method of travel is best for you.

With the UK press launch of the Harley-Davidson Pan America just a couple of weeks away (lucky riders in the USA have got to ride it already, we know), James and Ollie discuss what we know so far about the Harley's first adventure bike.

Motorcycling the Alps is one of the most enjoyable activities you can do on two wheels. The region is a playground for bikers looking to combine their love of riding twisting mountain passes with some of the most dramatic scenery you'll find on Earth.

With this in mind, James and Bryn got together with the good folks TomTom to outline three sensational motorcycle routes in the Alps, taking in the likes of the Combe Laval, the Splugen Pass, the Stelvio Pass, the Sella Pass, the Maloja Pass, and much more.

If you link these three day routes together, you're in for one of the best bike tours of your life. The boys also discuss motorcycling destinations, places to stay, and where you can get the best hot dog with a mountain top view.

Any bike can be an adventure bike, right? We could have just opened a can of worms, but instead we decided to tackle a question that's been asked of us thousands of times, in this latest episode of the ABR Garage.

In coming up with an answer, James, Bryn, and Ollie delve deep into what attributes make for a great adventure bike, both on and off road, as well looking at some of the motorcycling 'advancements' we'd happily live without.

The boys also reflect on the adventure, and non-adventure, bikes they've ridden, both at home and abroad, over the years such as the Ducati Multistrada, Honda Africa Twin, KTM 790 Adventure, Honda Goldwing, and even a Harley-Davidson Ultra Ltd.
