Acceptance is powerful.

Acceptance and alienation have formed each of our lives. Where you found acceptance, you found boldness, hope, and kinship. Where you needed it and came up empty, there are likely scars.

Despite our protestations, we want soul-level acceptance—we're created that way. We are not islands, no matter how much we may want to escape to one.
