Remember the marks on the wall? Measured in inches and years, parents chart the growth of their children with a semi-permanent reminder etched into a wall or door frame—a visual declaration of growth.

Your spiritual growth has marks too, but with one difference: growth is optional. And the choice is yours.

The growth you seek is not found at the end of the road of guilt or determined effort. Instead, Ephesians shows us a path to growth that is surprisingly accessible.

It's Thrive Weekend at Cape Cod Church—one of the most important weekends of the year for our church, the church on Cape Cod and our communities. At least, that's how I see it.

We start Friday night with a Cape-wide united night of worship (7pm), followed by a full-day conference on Saturday (8:30am-3:30pm).

Then we finish with a Sunday celebration—one service, all together (10am)—talking about the power you may be missing in your life from Ephesians 3.

Oh… and it's Daylight Saving Time. An extra hour… what a weekend!

The Olympics often bring out the best in sport and in patriotic fervor. Countries competing without killing — that was the original idea in 1896 when the Games were revived in Athens, Greece.

Ephesians uses the imagery, passion, and language of citizens and nations to declare a new way of understanding our identity. When it works, Jesus said it would be the most powerful proof of Christ in us.

A new way of thinking indeed.
