Motivational Speaker and Disability Advocate Rhys Bowler & Make Love Not Porn founder Cindy Gallop join M-J in this episode of the Accessibility Partners and InclUSion podcast for a full and frank discussion exploring disability, sex and sexuality.
They unpack the idea that sex and sexuality is effectively “The Last Taboo” in relation to the preconceptions society has around disability, and the moment we can break the taboo down and society starts seeing the disabled community as fully rounded humans who can and do have healthy, fulfilled relationships and sex lives, the other elements will follow.

In this episode of the Accessibility Partners and InclUSion podcast, M-J is joined by founder of Thinking Differently Ltd, Luke Coggon. Luke has a wealth of experience in the construction industry and was inspired to establish his company and other ventures to challenge the stigma attached to mental health and the lack of representation and understanding of disability within that environment.
M-J and Luke explore his journey as a founder thus far, his hopes for his business, and unpack why breaking those stereotypes around mental health, especially in a male-dominated industry like construction, matters as much now as it ever did.

She unpacks the idea that regret, and shame are most commonly associated with things we didn’t do, and how we can reframe our mindset to move forward by maintaining a stronger relationship with the present.
If you could return, would you?

In this episode of the Accessibility Partners & InclUSion podcast, M-J explores the value of “The Morning After The Night Before” - the principle that after an experience, we build regular habits that help shape how we adapt & move forward. As humans, so often, we don’t like to fail or get things wrong, because shame is uncomfortable. M-J reflects on her own experiences, and how she finds empowerment in the consistency of being open to failure, to practice, to learning and growing.

In episode 21 of the Accessibility Partners & InclUSion podcast, to complement an earlier episode, we return to the principle of repetition! M-J explores the origin of the word liturgy (did you know it comes from the Greek phrase “liturgia”, meaning public service or work of the people?
Perhaps most familiar in a religious context, liturgy is a form or pattern, and when you apply that meaning to repetition, you can achieve some surprising results… as long as you remember it isn’t just about the physical act of doing something over & over, but more about instilling belief and conviction in yourself, your intent and your actions.

In the 20th episode of the Accessibility Partners & InclUSion podcast, we dust off one of M-J’s clubhouse rooms from early 2024, where the message feels just as powerful now as it did then: “Pushing Through By Being You”.
The idea that we show up for ourselves and others, by giving ourselves permission to be vulnerable. Vulnerability leads to authenticity, and authenticity allows us to pursue our “actionable steps” in a way that works for ourselves.
For M-J, vulnerability means inclusivity, adaptability, innovation and resilience: the cornerstones of how she approaches life and all the challenges it presents us.
Being vulnerable takes commitment, but it allows us to become steadfast in our intentions and learn how to move forward. Lean into your support networks, and get comfortable reaching out to those you trust. You’ll realise that we can all be better versions of ourselves with people who embrace our vulnerability.

In Episode 18 of the Accessibility Partners and InclUSion podcast, we have a very special compilation to bring you: MJ’s talks from this year’s Naidex on the Neuro and Business Without Barries stages back in March.
For anyone that isn’t familiar, Naidex is an annual event taking place in Birmingham working to empower the disabled community, through a truly holistic approach: bringing together opportunities for education, employment, leisure and much more. Wether you’re disabled yourself, a carer or supplying products for the community, everyone is welcome to join the movement for a more inclusive and accessible world.
In what was our first appearance at the event, M-J opened up and spoke candidly about her experiences, her challenges, what inspired the founding of Accessibility Partners, and the work we are doing to shift minds, as well as hearts.
