The final season of The Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe continues it’s theme of “For Your Consideration…” with an examination of the first Adam Sandler film that made the film critics stand up and take notice of his true potential as an actor Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Punch-Drunk Love”

Will this deconstruction of a his own filmmaking style that ultimately feels like an Adam Sandler film by way of the arthouse have enough strength within itself to find acceptance in the our Shared Cinematic Universe or will it prove just too much of a product of its creators to fit the constructs of the star charts we’ve crafted thus far. 

Whatever the answer, we hope you find a bit of enjoyment in this charmingly off-kilter darkly comedic romance that saw Sandler nominated for his first Golden Globe.

In our final installment of Season Nine’s “Grains of Sandler” theme we eat the pig and then we beat up some mimes as we examine Adam’s small roles in “Dirty Work” and “Shakes the Clown”

Like sand through an hourglass the Grains of Sandler tumble as Season Nine continues with an examination of two films creatively helmed by friends of Adam Sandler: Chris Rock and Kevin James.

Up first we examine Chris Rock’s two hander with Rosario Dawson that explored the pains of celebrity and the black experience fully admitting we will only ever be outside observers to these themes

Then we have a lovely quiz administered by our Quizmaster General Will Fournier as he continues his Adam Sandler Quizempic with multiple choice and write-it trivia.

Then we finish in Boston with Kevin James’ wholesome talking animal film where we also find Rosario Dawson playing his colleague and eventual love interest.

We continue our Season Nine Grains of Sandler theme with two more Rob Schneider Movies: “The Hot Chick” and “The Animal.” Two films that Sejohn has assured Devon will be more worthy of his time than either of those that featured Deuce Bigalow

Will these find their way into our Shared Cinematic Universe of Adam Sandler films? Has Devon truly discovered the genesis point of his new unified theory of cinema? Will the Quiz in the middle hosted by Quizmaster General William Fournier be enough of a respite between the exploration of these two Rob Schneider heavy films?

The time has come for us to start our Season Nine theme of Grains of Sandler proper and what better place to begin than with the Deuce Bigalow Duology… Anywhere, literally anywhere would have been better, but hey at least we got them out of the way and they have a nice thematic tie-in to this episode releasing on Valentine’s Day… which is sort of nice if you don’t think about it too hard.

Your curators at The Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe Podcast kick off Season Nine with an open discussion about how we are going to be spending our last year on this project. 

We'll be continuing Season 9 with the theme of "Grains of Sandler" looking at those films that feature Adam in a more diminished or cameo role in special double episodes that will also feature a fun quiz component delivered by our Say Report Quizmaster General Will Fournier. 

Then for Season Ten, depending on the release of a few films that are currently in post-production, we will begin examining those films that were most certainly submitted for the consideration of the Academy.

Sure this synopsis gives a lot of the content away, but the episode is still worth a listen for the full schedule and some fun trivia about the podcast being delivered along the way. 

We are in the Endgame now... or at least the Infinity War and we couldn't be more excited for what is to come in 2025.

Just in time for the holiday season we are wrapping up Season Eight’s theme of The Sandler Sequels with a holiday of our own as we explore of the Animated Cruise Ship Comedy: “Hotel Transylvania 3”

Will the third time be the charm and convince us that this franchise is worth including in the Cinematic Universe we have been crafting over the past four years? 

Maybe this creature feature will be the one that ultimately breaks the limits of our universal requirements and causes the trilogy to spend the rest of its existence doomed to some pocket dimension? 

Either way we know for a fact that this film is at its core a fun time no matter the outcome…

Keeping spooky season alive and well this month we take a look at the second film in the Hotel Transylvania trilogy the appropriately titled “Hotel Transylvania 2”

What wonders will we unearth as we comb through this Sandler Sequel in a continuation of our Season Eight theme. 

Plus what can we learn about our entire cinematic universe that we are constructing when we consider, that as of this recording, this film is the most successful of Adam Sandler’s Career.

In our attempts to figure out if this franchise has a place amongst our star charts of a shared cinematic universe of Adam Sandler’s films we will also be tackling the mysteries of why this films that shares so much with other much maligned offerings from the same actor doesn’t catch the same types of criticism and complaints. 

All in all the next three episodes where we find ourselves on holiday in Transylvania should prove to be an interesting chapter in our continuing curations.
