Rethinking Professional Identity with Liberating Structures and the Adaptive Identity Game - Breaking out of rigid career boxes through a holistic, card-based approach designed by a Berlin-based Liberating Structures pioneer Sylvia Taylor - https://www.linkedin.com/in/sylviataylor/
In this very first English-language episode of Liberating Structures in Practice, Christian sits down with Sylvia Taylor, an organizational development and change management consultant based in Berlin.
The second half of the episode is dedicated to Sylvia's newest creation: the Adaptive Identity Game. Born out of a desire to help agile professionals and tech workers navigating industry shifts and layoffs, this tabletop card game encourages "purposeful play". By combining cards from three categories—Skills and Strengths, Traits and Qualities, and Metaphors and Archetypes—players can remix their professional identities and discover holistic, creative ways to describe the value they bring beyond traditional job titles.
Sylvia also shares details about her newly launched Kickstarter campaign to fund the physical printing of the deck in Europe.
Upcoming Berlin Event: The Berlin Liberating Structures Lab meets on March 3rd at Deutsche Bahn, where attendees can playtest the deck.
The Adaptive Identity Game Kickstarter Campaign: To pledge for the physical deck or the digital PDF version.
Sylvia Taylor on LinkedIn: To follow her updates, spread the word about the game, and connect.
