🎧 Welcome back to The ADHD Entrepreneu(Her)—THE podcast for feral AF ADHD women in the online coaching arena who refuse to play by the fucking rules.
You don't have imposter syndrome. Let me say that louder for the people in the back: You don't have imposter syndrome. What you have is the self-trust gap—and it's a completely different beast.
This is Part 1 of a 4 part series where I'm breaking down a phenomenon I've been witnessing in late-diagnosed and self-identified ADHD women for years. When I say "self-trust gap" in a room full of late-diagnosed women, I get vigorous knowing nods. I don't have to explain it. They just fucking know.
The self-trust gap is the brutal lag time between getting your ADHD diagnosis (or realizing you have it) and actually trusting yourself fully. It's the space between "holy shit, this is why I struggled" and "I trust myself to handle what comes next." And it shows up in your business as analysis paralysis, over-preparing, constant permission-seeking, and second-guessing every damn decision you make.
In this episode, I'm explaining what the self-trust gap actually is, why it's not your fault, and why you're not broken. This is the start of something big—and by Part 4, you're going to understand how closing this gap gives you a massive competitive edge in business.
About This Episode:
🐆 Why what you think is imposter syndrome is actually something completely different
🐆 The two reasons the self-trust gap hits ADHD women so intensely (one neurological, one societal)
🐆 How your brain has been running a biased investigation collecting evidence you're unreliable
🐆 What 20,000 extra negative messages before age 12 does to your self-trust as an adult
🐆 The four ways the self-trust gap shows up in your business decisions right now
🐆 Why getting your ADHD diagnosis doesn't automatically fix the trust issue (and what does)
🐆 The simple evidence audit exercise you can do this week to start closing the gap
This Episode is For You If:
You constantly second-guess every business decision even after you make it
You research the same thing 17 times and still don't trust yourself to decide
You need external validation before you can move forward with anything in your business
You thought your ADHD diagnosis would fix everything but you still don't trust yourself
You're ready to stop calling it imposter syndrome and actually address what's really going on
