The Adobo Collection Podcast

She shares her insights on humility, stoicism, being on rock bottom, the search for success, setting milestones, New Year's evolution, her experience of writing a personal check of 1 million dollars as an affirmation; and the importance of looking for a mentor as well as  connecting to the universe. Ito ang pangalawang installment ng series natin na guest sina Oli at Bebz. Una natin silang napakinggan sa Episode 13. Naibahagi nila kung paano sila nakapagabroad at kung ano yung mga adjustments na kinailangan nilang gawin nung nakarating sila sa Thailand at Australia. Ngayong Episode 14 naman ay tatalakayin nila ang mga bagay na sa tingin nila ay advantage at mga sitwasyon kung saan naramdaman nila ang ginhawa sa ibang panig ng mundo. Magiging medyo madrama din sapagkat ikwekwento nila ang mga namimiss nila sa Pilipinas.

Welcome dito sa Adobo Collection Podcast. Bagong panlasa kami ngayon. Ito ang unang tag-lish episode namin. Bilang pagbibigay pugay sa ating mga kababayang nagtratrabaho sa ibat-ibang panig ng mundo. Tinatayang mahigit dalawang milyon ang mga ofw sa mundo, at sa dalawang milyong iyon, marami ang hindi nabibigyng tinig. Kaya Ang paksa ng kabanatang ito ay simpleng kumustahan at maaring isiping walang katuturan, ngunit sa panahong ng pandemya, ito ang kailangan namin. Ito rin ang unang episode na mayroong video, kaya sa mga nakikinig sa mga audio platforms namin, maaring may mapansin kayo na hindi tipikal mula aming pamamaraan ng pagtalastas. Ngayun kung nagtataka kayo kung permanente na ba na tagalog ang gagamitin sa podcast namin, hindi naman po dahil baka maging tunog panalasang pinoy kung patuloy na tagalog ang gagamitin. Paminsan minsan ay magtatagalog tayo dahil tulad ng adobo, paninsan minsan ay iniiba din natin ang timpla para hindi nakakaumay. Ganoon din sa paglalabas ng video bawat episode.

Ngayong araw, kasama ko ang 2 ofw na tulad ko ay mula sa Baguio rin. Si Oli ay nasa Bangkok, Thailand ngayon, si Wilmer o Bebz ay nasa Queensland, Australia at ako naman ay nasa Phuket, Thailand. Sanay ang episode na ito ay maghatid ng tuwa at kaalaman sa inyon lahat.

Depression has always been a dreadful topic to talk about. The stigma attached to it tortures the people who associate themselves with this condition. 2020 and the pandemic have catalyzed a huge number of cases of depression-related suicides. In this episode, Marco and Steffie welcome Karina and Alex, both of which had bouts with depression and anxiety. Listen to these speakers and learn the true picture of depression. 

It's a night full of music here in the Adobo collection podcast. This podcast has been an idea in the shelves for a very long time. A sudden gathering of music enthusiast suddenly changed everything. Joining is in this episode are Raphael Pong De Guzman from his seminal bands, hairy god mother, swine,  and stab. We also have Allan Dayle Basa whose recording was unfortunately not saved due to technical issue. I want to take this chance to apologize to everyone for not having the opportunity to hear his exceptional wisdom. I promise to work with him on future episodes and you'll understand the regret that I have right now. Also we have Bien Bulatao, a bandmate of Pong in HGM. Some parts of Bien's recording was also not saved by the recording site that we were using. Together with Allan, I'll make sure to have them more on this podcast in the future. Lastly we have our first woman guest, Karina-Lopez Barientos, our ate. All of them will share a simple discussion with Mary and me Marco to talk about music, influences and suggestions on what to listen to.
