What does it really mean to stand firm and act like a man of God? In Part 1 of our two-part study of Chapter 1 of Joby Martin’s Stand Firm and Act Like Men, we take a deeper look at biblical manhood, God’s design for men and women, and what it means to live with strength, courage, purpose, and obedience.

Beginning with Genesis 1:26–27, we discuss what it means to be created in the image of God and why being filled with God’s Spirit is essential to truly living as the man God created you to be. We explore how sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s choices, why our actions should glorify God regardless of our circumstances, and the powerful truth that you can’t stand like a man until you first bend your knee to God.
