The Aftermath

Buckle up for this one, because we share our love of BioWare games. Over the past year Dylan and I have been playing through the Mass Effect trilogy. At the same time Mya and I have been starting up Star Wars: The Old Republic, so BioWare has been on my mind a lot recently. With the studio shutting down, I thought this would be a good time to share the importance of their games in our lives.

Today was a quick one. Dylan and I finished the old Clone Wars 2D animated series. While we are in the Star Wars mood I shared a little more about my play through of The Old Republic, and mourning the shut down of BioWare. Lastly, I brought up the implementation of EAC in Helldivers 2, and how it ruined modding before Dylan even had a chance to experience it.

First, Dylan brought us up to speed on his Herculean task of completing Operations of the highest difficulty for Space Marines 2. Then, I talked about how Mya and I have started playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, and I shared my love for MMOs. Lastly, we talked about the unthinkable: Mods in Helldivers 2. I’ve started playing with some quality of life mods, and I shared my thoughts and feelings about that as well as Arrowhead in general.

We went way back for this episode to the little Clone Wars micro-series directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. It has been too long since either of us have watched this series, and it is phenomenal. From the Arc Troopers and clones, to Mace Windu literally bare knuckle boxing Super Battle Droids, and last but not least, the introduction of General Grievous. We round out the night with a little Mass Effect 3 recap as well.

This week Dylan and I watched a film that was very integral to our childhood, the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man released in 2002. It has been so long since I watched this, and I forgot how much I loved this film. At the very end Dylan informed us about the recent character development of his main man Vaseraga.

I discussed my night out on the town, and the little mushroom decorations Mya and I bought for the autumn season. Dylan caught us up to speed on what’s been going on in the Granblue Fantasy world. As well as all the other games in the franchise. Last but not least, I shared my first time exploring through Breath of the Wild.

Tonight we played and focused on the new Patlabor: The Case Files game that just came out. In addition to talking about the new game, we shared our deep love of the TV Series all over again. Also, I feel like we can’t pass up an opportunity to talk about the death of physical media when referring to classics such as this.

We watched Buzz Lightyear, and his crew of misfits, as they go on a quest to the Unimind for the Little Green Men. Beside the Evil Emperor Zurg, there is another foe added to the roster. He goes by Agent Z, also known as Warp Darkmatter, and if that isn't the coolest name in Lightyear Lore I don't know what is.

This is proof that Ethan is not merely a figment of our collective imagination. This still has not proven that he isn’t just a fragment of Dylan though. They claim to be two parts of a whole Sephiroth, named Sephy, as per Chase’s nomenclature. We also got a harrowing story of Ethan’s battle with the Arizona pavement.

Welcome everyone, Earth is dead, and if that wasn’t bad enough the future of humanity is left in the hands of an idiot. We are being hunted down by BLUE, and their only weakness is orange, of course. I had a little too much fun rewriting certain aspects of this film, but I enjoyed it.
