This week Dr. Gregg Mays shares a thought the Lord put on his heart recently.

The speck in someone’s eye is that fault you find in them that gets you upset as if you haven’t done a thousand things yourself to others.

In Matthew 7, Jesus is teaching us to not place yourself above others. You should be able to talk to someone about their shortcoming without there being any angst.

This week Dr. Gregg Mays reminds believers that in their own home, it can be tough to witness well to non-believers who have known them their entire life. He uses Luke 4:24 where Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.”

Like a prophet in their hometown, a believer in their own home can find it difficult for their family members to look past their known history and accept a family member’s new found faith in Jesus Christ.

Foundation Scripture: Luke 4:24
