It's another week of clinching teams and clinching scenarios with just a few weeks left in the season. Our hosts look to the east in the big bad Bears over in Hershey and try to determine who has the best chance in tripping them up. Wilkes-Barre? Charlotte? Is the answer even in this division? Conference? On this planet? Andrew and Sam go back and forth on potential matchups and teams on the outside who could make it in. With time winding down there is still plenty of hockey left to play and the crew keeps you in the game with the ever-changing landscape of the AHL playoff race.

TAPS is back for another week of magic numbers and magic vibes. Join your hosts Andrew Rinaldi and Deanna McFeron as they navigate the playoff stretch of AHL action. Prayers up once more for Samantha Wismer but the penalty killers came to play this week.
This week, Andrew was a little excited about the Griffins clinching their first playoff berth since 2019. That's right. Pre-Covid. Dea doesn't appreciate it as much, but she does appreciate the bad blood in the North Division. Our hosts preview some potential playoff matchups, upcoming clinching scenarios for the weekend, and what's been going on in San Jose that's leading the Cuda astray for three years now.

The moment we've all been waiting for - The AHL Pre-Show is off and running with episode one! Join your hosts Samantha Wismer and Deanna McFerron (filling in for the absent Andrew Rinaldi) as they lead up the first full episode of the Calder Times' new podcast dedicated to a forward look at American Hockey League action this week!
Chaos is the name of the game and the ladies bring all the chaos and then some. The weekend coming up features not just some heavyweight fights but a featherweight bout that you don't want to miss in America's heartland! Or maybe you do. Sam might miss it on account of her own finger being lodged in her eye. Prayers up for her. Dea wonders if Laval is ready to get serious about the season and the ladies dial in to see how the coming playoff races in each division will end up shaking out.

With the playoffs in the American Hockey League fast approaching, The Calder Times introduces a brand new podcast with a brand new vibe: The AHL Pre-Show. Join hosts Andrew Rinaldi, Samantha Wismer, and Deanna McFerron as they introduce themselves to a new audience on a new platform.
The AHL Pre-Show (styled as TAPS for short) brings a little bit of everything in its coverage. There’s a forward look to the week ahead in AHL action and previews to come with them. There’s a discourse on what to expect in the biggest games. Of course, there’s also the chaos that comes with the nature of the AHL that flows through our hosts.
In Episode Zero, the hosts set the tone early with the ladies bullying Andrew in an early preview of the Battle of the Genders. In a turnaround of fortune for Andrew’s beats, he finds both the Grand Rapids Griffins and Chicago Wolves in playoff positions as opposed to last season. The vibes are immaculate. Dea is less fortunate with the Laval Rocket finding it difficult to take off.
Bears, bears, and bears: oh my! Are we already bringing a mascot into the show before Episode One? For the sake of Andrew’s health hopefully not. For the Atlantic Division, they might not have a choice.
There are laughs. There are tears. The hosts bring up the questions that really matter: how long does a surfboard need to be to fit three people on it?
Ride the wave with Andrew, Sam, and Dea into the thick of the AHL season with The AHL Pre-Show!
