Buckle your seat belt. For this is like no album I have ever reviewed, nor heard. There is a small community in the US who know these guys, but the word needs to be spread. If you enjoy technical instrumentation, if you enjoy rave music, if you enjoy synth, if you enjoy ripping guitar, if you enjoy crazy drums, drop “everything” and grab this album!

On September 15th, 1983 the Rock & Roll blues band from San Francisco, Huey Lewis & the News released their third studio album, Sports. I am reviewing this album today my friends because, Sports was my very, very first album purchase. I was a little kid and had heard the group on the radio. When Sports was released, I took my own money from doing yard work, went to the record store and purchased it. I still have my original copy today. It still reeks of basement mildew. But it is so special to me. This was my platform into the music world.

I know what you’re thinking. Strange who? Folk what? Who are these guys? There is a reason this album is on my review list and in my album collection. Despite much of the praise I’ve given past albums of different genres, Strangefolk’s 1995 release Lore is on my desert island album list. It has been since I heard it in 1995. With only four songs on the album, My Favorite Things clocks in at 40:25. Each song brings a positive, calming vibe that immediately makes you feel as if you are in a dark jazz club in New York or San Francisco.

The basement is filled with tables all pointing towards a very, very small stage. Picture the wait staff buzzing past each table on the floor, serving drink after drink, each occupied table is lit by one candle, and all the patrons are in a trance, staring at the musicians.

For me, I bow to the first King, Mr. James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix. But on October 3rd, 1954, another King was born in Dallas, Texas. His name? Mr. Stephen Ray "Stevie" Vaughan. This is an audio review of Radiohead's third studio album, "OK Computer". On May 21st, 1997, a rock band with some reasonable commercial success out of the UK, Radiohead that is, released their third studio album, OK Computer.

The album's lyrics and music illustrate what it is like and what it will “be” like eventually to live in a world where computers rule.

Technology and computers certainly played an important, dominant role in society in 1997, but nothing like it is today. For the band I believe was truly ahead of their time, writing lyrics to music that showcased the eventual downward spiral of society, where social media essentially runs the planet. The writing is a message that all this capitalism has not led to survival of the fittest, but more led to emotional isolation and political illness.

This is a review of John Prine's Fair & Square. Released in April 2005, Fair & Square is John Prine's 15th studio album. As a country music album, Prine's writing offers little resemblance to the pop country stars of the 80's, 90's and today.

Fair & Square won him a Grammy award in 2005, giving John his second major music award and his 12th nomination, cementing him in the country folk music Parthenon.

Born in London, Michael developed an early love for music. After studying for a short time at The University of Westminster, he became a session guitarist and eventually decided to start writing, recording and producing his own music.
