Mary can be a controversial figure for many Christians, but one who we, as women, need to pay closer attention to in order to become better disciples of Jesus. If you're only culturally Catholic, you might not understand why we venerate her, and if you're a non-Catholic Christian, you might not understand either. In today's episode, Father Jack Soler takes us through the biblical roots of Mary in the bible with the use of typology.
Fr. Jack Soler is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, currently serving as the Pastor of the Church of St. Clement - St. Michael, in Staten Island, NYC. He worked as the Director of Curriculum for Felix Varela Pastoral Institute, and was the Pastor of the Church of St. Denis, in Yonkers. Prior to that, he served as an associate at the Church of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, in Washington Heights, NYC. He is also the Co-founder of the Terror of Demons Motorcycle Ministry, and runs a Young Adults Yearly Retreat.
