Timothy Anne Burnside is a curatorial museum specialist for the NMAAHC and is a self-proclaimed music history nerd. The difficulties returning citizens face when establishing a legitimate life upon release from prison are well-documented. We also know there are many economically disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout the country lacking supermarkets and healthy food options. Boe Luther + Wallace Kirby are working to change both realities in Clay Terrace, the Northeast DC neighborhood where they grew up. They are the founders of Hustlaz 2 Harvesters, an urban agriculture organization which aims to teach young black people entrepreneurial skills.
