Denisio Truitt and Michael Wilson are the owners of Dopeciety - a New Orleans based creative production house known for their clothing line, curation/production of events, and artist management services. We talk with them about how they made their way from the DMV to New Orleans, when they fell in love with the city, operating a creative business as transplants, their backgrounds in fashion and music, and how to make a business partnership work when your partner is also your spouse. We have a couple of people in our "studio audience" who share their thoughts with the group, too. Geronimo is FINALLY back in DC after an almost 3-month long ancestral excursion. This is also the last DC episode before he moves to New Orleans this week. This isn't the end but definitely an expansion of the All The Fly Kids and Fairground brands. As a little welcome home/farewell get-together for our brother, we invite a few friends of the show to stop by the studio (peace to Bryant "BeMo" Brown, Imani K. Brown, India Kea, and Michell C. Clark). We also have Super Producer Robert Jay, who'll be co-hosting the podcast with Geronimo in New Orleans, call in to introduce himself to the ATFK family. Hailing from the “Show Me State”, specifically the city of St. Louis, Reggie is multi-disciplined in the fields of creative arts, education, entrepreneurship, community activism, and Twitter. He served as one of the many boots on the ground in Ferguson, after the killing of 18-year-old Mike Brown and many other black women and men. Also, he's a dope photographer (Matt is a client)! He runs Be Pure Black/ Pure Black Photography, focusing on urban style and portraiture.
