We're back for another installment of the Solas. This week, we're talking about the third of five "Solas" in our discussion about salvation. Solus Christus is the concept that we are saved by Christ alone, and by nothing else, so come along as we dive in, and stay all the way to the end for another installment of "Hunter's Random Question."

Today, we're talking Sola Fide. No need to say "gesundheit" here, because we're talking about Faith. What saves us? It's not merit, but grace, not works, but faith, and that's what this week is about. We're going to dive into the contrast between Paul's letter to the Romans, and James' letter to whoever he was writing to. We're starting a new series!  We are going to be talking about the "Solas" of salvation.  Now, I know what you're thinking: "what on Earth is a "Sola of salvation?" Don't panic.  It's just a framework, created by the original Protestant Reformers, to explain the theology of salvation for people.  The word Sola just means "sole" or "alone," so each week we will be talking about one of five concepts.  Think of it this way: we are saved by Grace Alone (#1), through Faith Alone (#2), in Christ Alone (#3), for the Glory of God Alone (#4), under the authority of Scripture Alone (#5).  It's cool stuff, and if you've ever wanted to understand a little more about how we are saved, make sure you check out these episodes because that's what we are diving into.  This episode covers the first Sola, aka Sola Gratia, the concept that we are saved by Grace Alone.  Come check it out, and as always, listen all the way to the end for "Hunter's Random Question."
