Popularly referred to as spinach king, Lufefe Nomjana, is a Khayelitsha-based entrepreneur who farms spinach and produces baked goods and refreshments that have
spinach as a main ingredient from bread to muffins.

In 2011, Nomjana started his business with just as little as a R40, with four bunches
of spinach and his big idea. This is where he was motivated and turned 24 loaves into
120 making enough money to purchase his own equipment and employ people.

Zandile Kumalo, a hydroponics farmer who started a rooftop garden at the Morningside Shopping Centre in Sandton and supplies the shops and restaurants.

Morningside Shopping Centre in Sandton after realizing she could supply fresh vegetables
to those in her vicinity.
