They spoke to Desiree Ellis, head coach of Banyana Banyana about Banyana Banyana making strides in a male dominated industry.

Our Guest Presenter was Taffia Keight, owner of Whacked Management, one of South Africa’s longest-running comedy and talent management and production agency.
She spoke to us about how she left a lucrative corporate job and ventured into the entertainment industry managing some of SA’s biggest comedians.

We were also joined by Taffia’s two guests : Alfred Adriaan, Comedian and exclusive artist to Whacked Management and Kate Goliath, Managing Director of Goliath and Goliath. Kate’s role includes managing Jason, Nicholas and Donovans comedy careers.

Keri-Leigh Paschal is the Executive Director of Nation Builder. She spoke to us about Nation Builder hosting its fifth In Good Company conference on 15 August in Pretoria at the Atterbury Theatre.

Nine year old Ngcali Metu is the author of a book titled: The Clever Twins . She joined us in studio with her mom Yondie Metu to discuss the book.

The Clever Twins is about Zazi and Azi who were exceptional young children, who had hearts of gold. Empowering and uplifting their community was what they enjoyed doing the most. Little did they realise, just how intelligent they really were. Their mom and teachers, however, noticed their uniqueness, which resulted in the twins having to make some difficult decisions.

Our Thought leader, Thando Hopa South African model, activist, and lawyer spoke about the Miss South Africa Pageant which took place this week.

We were later joined by Ailyssa Pretorius, General Manager of Uber Eats and Claudette Thorne, RSA Country Manager for Travelport who both discussed the strides made by women in their respective industries.

Opening in December last year, Ba-Pita may seem brand new to younger faces, but those who’ve been around the block will recognise its deliciously iconic offering, as well as the owners who’ve brought it back.

Sussie Mjwara, parenting programme trainer and artist at Clowns Without Borders (CWBSA’s) spoke about the organisation hosting free performances around Cape Town to encourage parents, caregivers, adolescents and children to explore and nurture relationships within their family.

CWBSA’s work in addressing the impact of violence against children and the promotion of child wellbeing begun in 2004 through the implementation of a variety of arts-based interventions.
