Urban Grown, a woman-owned and youth run Agricultural and Agro-processing business – based at Riversands Incubation Hub – is proof that this is certainly not the case. The business – established in 2015 by Nonhlanhla Mokoena Chimhandamba, ably supported by her husband Simbarashe ‘Simba’ Chimhandamba – is going against convention and farming close to the city using hydroponics.

Specialist recruitment firm Michael Page has published its latest salary survey, showing what skilled professionals in 180 different jobs in South Africa can expect to earn in 2019.
According to the recruitment specialists, the South African labour market has once again experienced an unpredictable year.

Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease caused by any one of five malaria parasite species i.e Plasmodium falciparum, ovale, vivax, malariae and knowlesi. The disease is transmitted to people by the female Anopheles vector mosquito. This disease is a leading cause of debilitating illness, with over 200 million cases each year from around the world. The disease is widespread in Africa, and over one million people die of malaria every year on the continent, mostly children under the age of five.
