Experiencing the finale was oddly reminiscent of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s not that the plots are the same, but both narratives center around emotionally scarred individuals who finally let their guards down. There’s a palpable sense of pain, isolation, emotional fatigue, and a bittersweet realization that things can never truly revert to their former state.
Interestingly, I had already predicted about 75-80% of the plot before I even sat down to watch the film. Typically, this would spoil the enjoyment. However, in this case, it had the opposite effect. The emotional scenes resonated even more deeply because I recognized that the story had been subtly leading up to those moments all along.
This finale isn’t flawless. Some viewers will undoubtedly label it as disappointing or too gentle. Others were hoping for a much grimmer conclusion. Yet, for me, the ending remained true to the emotional essence of the series.
