Having watched countless horror films, I can confidently say that Lee Cronin's take on Mummy stands out as one of the most chilling, gripping, and remarkable horror experiences I've encountered in quite some time. I recognized a burgeoning talent when I first saw Evil Dead Rise a couple of years ago, and tonight he has solidified his place as one of my favorite filmmakers in the horror genre.

I attended the Michael Jackson Victory Tour in Dallas back in 1984 with my dad when I was just 12 years old, and it was the most incredible concert I've ever experienced. So, you can imagine my reluctance to watch this movie until I discovered that Jaafar Jackson was portraying Michael. I realized that having a relative take on such an iconic role could either be a fantastic success or a complete disaster. Let me tell you, as a little girl who once dreamed of marrying MJ, I felt that childhood excitement all over again. Jaafar truly embodied Michael. I cried, I sang, I laughed, I danced, I felt every emotion; Jaafar resurrected Michael's spirit. If I had the chance to speak to him, I would simply say thank you. 

Thank you, Jaafar, for creating this film and reviving Michael's essence once more. My father's time with us is limited, and you have rekindled such a beautiful memory that my dad and I cherish together. I wish my dad could have joined me to see the movie, but due to his age and inability to attend, he requested some pictures. When he saw a photo of Jaafar, he exclaimed, "Wow, that young man is Michael." So I urge you, watch the movie and disregard the negative reviews. Every actor delivers a stellar performance; it was a delight to see Elijah Wood on the big screen, and he was fantastic in his role as the lawyer. Samara Weaving also shone brightly as the quintessential scream queen.
