I thoroughly enjoyed the film from start to finish! To be honest, I thought Vanessa and Joseph might not impress in their roles, but they did a fantastic job—I was happily surprised! Pedro, however, was the one who left me feeling indifferent, lol. I had higher expectations for him, especially given all the buzz.

The CGI in certain scenes, especially with Mr. Fantastic, seemed a bit off—you could see it was CGI, which momentarily distracted me. But Julia Garner completely blew me away as Shalla-Bal! She dominated every scene she appeared in and certainly made an impression.

It's not often that we encounter truly fresh and original ideas in horror, but when we do, it feels incredibly rewarding. 'Together' (2025) is a prime example of this. It's a grotesque, clever, and surprisingly funny little gem that had me cringing, laughing, and completely captivated throughout.

The premise is delightfully unhinged: a couple relocates to the countryside... and becomes overly attached. What ensues can best be described as a romantic comedy body horror (yes, you read that right) that makes co-dependency a literal concept... and it oddly succeeds. Remarkably well.

Body horror may not appeal to everyone, but this film executes it brilliantly. The practical effects are wonderfully grotesque - just the right level of disgusting to make your stomach churn while keeping you glued to the screen. It embraces the absurdity, yet beneath the chaos lies a surprisingly genuine exploration of toxic love, compromise, and identity.

Alison Brie and Dave Franco deliver outstanding performances. You completely believe in them as a couple who care for each other, but perhaps shouldn't be together. Or maybe they should? I'm not even sure. That's part of the enjoyment.

Additionally, I must mention that any film filmed in Melbourne automatically earns a bonus point from me. There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing our suburbs transformed into something so surreal.

It's cringeworthy in all the right ways. Disgusting in the best sense possible. 'Together' stands out as one of the most original horror films I've encountered in a long time - and it will undoubtedly satisfy genre enthusiasts seeking something bold, grotesque, and fresh.

I had fun with it! To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but I'm happy I streamed it right away. Although it's not a movie you'll purchase or something you'll think about all weekend, it's still a good time at the movies. It didn't try to outdo itself, which is what I liked best about it. I think it's a good thing that it was kept true to its original form and wasn't overly graphic or overly dramatic. Enjoyable summertime entertainment that transports you to the adolescent horror films of the 1990s. And the icing on the cake was getting to bring back some of the original cast!

F1 was remarkably cinematic and featured a captivating story with entertaining, though somewhat exaggerated, characters. Although I'm not a racing enthusiast, I was intrigued by the buzz surrounding this film, described as 'epic even for non-fans.' I genuinely enjoyed watching it, but I don't believe it breaks new ground, and it has its flaws.

To start, the movie is lengthy, and its duration is noticeable, especially in the middle. Some scenes in the second act seem overly extended and repetitive. I appreciate a good, long film, but it must not waste my time. The protagonist, portrayed by Brad Pitt, is overly complex, and many aspects of his character lead nowhere. Brad Pitt also comes off as quite stiff. The poor guy should consider retiring if he’s going to deliver performances like this. However, this stiffness somewhat fits a character meant to be a washed-up lunatic. While the film falters in these areas, it compensates with stunning cinematography and an engaging rivalry between the two main characters. The writing is strong; I wish the middle portion were trimmed down.

This was an excellent conclusion to Med and Milo's journey in the Zombies universe. I appreciated how they wrapped it up, and I found myself crying; it was the most touching ending. They set the stage for a new movie, and I hope we see some mermaids in the mix. The performances from the new characters were somewhat inconsistent, reminiscent of the first Zombies film, which gives me confidence that they will improve significantly. Malachi was outstanding, and so was Fraya! Additionally, I thought the sets and costumes were really impressive; I loved everything about them. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment, and all I hope to see is a bit more of Zed and Addison, please!
