I started following this weeks guest on Soundcloud..10ish years ago? I have known of him or about him in some capacity via the internet for a long time now. Him and his crew have a fierce reputation for throwing some wicked parties. It's really sick to have him on. Just a few weeks ago, he was hosting an MIA joint and he put out an open invitation for someone to split his opening slot with him. I was humbled by his generosity. He got his start in the 90s rave scene, promoting events as large as 9k with his crew boogie tribe ( 98-2002). His music and mixes have earned him long term fans all over the globe due to his consistency and taste in music, he doesn't play what they want, he plays what they need. He has headlined or supported headliners in over 30 states representing his crew and city 1st. Growing up on Chicago's southwest side has influenced his unique style and flair, his mixing style is similar to OG Chicago house djs, from smooth melodic music to upfront grime flawlessly while taking the dance-floor on a mission through sound and bass just like the djs he grew up watching in warehouses throughout the 90s. He got his start in the Seoul underground, playing with low-end heavy hitters like Bass Attack and DNBS. Never one to get complacent, he founded and ran the monthly Mixtape while juggling his various residencies and crew obligations around the city. Since leaving Korea, he’s played around the world, from clubs in Europe, Australia, and India to gigs all over the US. After years holding it down as a resident with Oakland's Dystopia, he's now based in Austin, spinning for the likes of Something Liquid, Lucid, and Catalyst; providing support for acts like Makoto, Jade, Grafix, Euphonique, and Ed Solo; and headlining shows from Seattle to Sydney to Amsterdam.

There are only a few American dnb dj's as influential as him. Pinching myself when I saw this one in the inbox. He's one of the most revered drum & bass DJ's in the country. His unique blends of jump up drum and bass, amazing scratching, and original production consistently rock heads. He's been at it for years. In the day I had my DJ Rectangle battle records  trying so hard to make it sound like he does..A whole generation of us did... a whole new generation of djs are trying to now.
