Welcome to the Americhicks podcast. Kim Monson and Molly Vogt are your hosts. Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation!
Kim is solo today.
Kim loves Denver and finds herself very concerned with the direction Denver is moving.
For instance, Denver's proposed ""safe injection sites".
Is it moral for Denver to want to take taxpayer money to fund drug injection sites for users?
Is it really safe?
Does it force taxpayers to become enablers for drug users?
Bill of Rights Day is this Saturday December 15th.
Make no mistake, the Bill of Rights is under assault.
On the phone is Andy McKean.
He talks to us about the Bill of Rights, why it is important and the threats it currently faces.
"What's stored in your school's Google Drive account?"
Your family's passwords?
Your account information?
Family voice recordings?
You'll be surprised and maybe a little bit mortified!
Cheri Kiesecker and Brooke Henderson, two women who are deeply concerned about Google data-mining our kids, will share what they've uncovered.
Cheri Kiesecker is a Colorado parent and has been outspoken about protecting student data and the right for parents to direct their children's education.
She is a member of several national advocacy groups including Parent Coalition for Student Data Privacy, Truth in American Education and blogs about student data privacy on Missouri Education Watchdog.
Brooke Henderson, a champion for kids, has been involved in education for the past 18 years.
She has been a special education teacher and a curriculum specialist/process coordinator in the special education administration department.
As a mom of two grown boys and an aunt for three young nieces and one nephew, Brooke became concerned with tech disruption in schools last year after discovering the massive amount of data that Google and schools are collecting and storing on kids and teachers in her community.
