The Behavioural Insights team started life in the UK as the world’s first government institution dedicated to the application of behavioural sciences.
Their goals are
1. Making public services more cost-effective and easier for citizens to use
2. Improving outcomes by introducing a more realistic model of human behaviour to policy; and wherever possible.
3. Enabling people to make ‘better choices for themselves.
This team now has a Wellington NZ office, so I knew I had to talk to Senior Advisor Lee McCauley about their work.
