What happens when we stop trying to run the show?
In this episode of Prayer on the Air, Angela invites us into a contemplation of trust, allowing, and letting.
Our minds are quick to decide: I know. I know what this means. I know what’s going to happen. I know how this should be.
But what becomes possible when we loosen our grip on those assumptions and become more available to the loving intelligence of life itself?
Angela explores living with “floating question marks” in our consciousness, moving from the ‘I know’ mind into curiosity, receptivity, and mystery.
Because again and again, when fear, doubt, and worry loosen their hold, a stunning revelation appears: life works on its own.
This week’s prayer requests invite us to practice this together:
- Finding peace when facing conflict, uncertainty, or the need to prove ourselves
- Remembering that our worth and value are not determined by recognition or external circumstances
- Letting go of our assumptions about how things should unfold and becoming more available to what is
We don’t have the human capacity to zoom out enough to see how all things work together. But perhaps we don’t need to.
Perhaps we can trust the allowing. The letting.
And let the mystery do us.
