The Anime Starter Pack

Oh hello and welcome to our special holiday-themed review of The Promised Neverland! We binged this anime in a day and WE HAVE SOME THINGS TO SAY ABOUT IT!

We know it's been forever but we're back with another special drinking episode! Drink along as Tohru confronts Akito in the character development face-off we've all been waiting for!

This is it. The episode you all have been waiting for. We've been waiting for 12 years and it's finally happening. Rejoice with us.

Tune in as we talk about videogames and pedophiles for far too long before actually watching any Fruits Basket! This episode is truly the eye of the hurricane; we had to recover and have a moment of calm after Yuki's confession to learn more about our favorite horse girl Rin!

Mariah is buzzed and Claire is drunk as we finish off our drunk episode saga! This episode has our beloved Sohmas visiting Akito, and we see some of the spoilers we read about in the last episode come to fruition!

Finally, a (mostly) wholesome episode that we can drink to! It's BEACH TIME, BABY! Also, at the end of this episode, the spoiler squad is born. We love you spoiler squad.

BIG OL' TW FOR PEDOPHILIA/GROOMING! All we wanted to do was have a fun drunk episode and we got hit with a 26 year old creepin on a 17 year old, and boy do we get HEATED about it!

We finally officially meet horse girl Rin!!! In this episode, Hatsuharu is sad, we find ourselves rooting for Yuki (woah), and briefly talk about the sexualization of high schoolers in anime (yikes). The next episode will be a special drinking game episode so stay tuned!

To the two listeners that we somehow retained from our first episode, welcome back! It's great to have ya. In this episode, we learn more about Yuki's backstory, fangirl over Ayame's hair,  and talk a little more about what the heck this podcast is!

TRIGGER WARNING: this episode of Fruits Basket contains a scene that depicts family abuse.

Hello there! We are Claire and Mariah and we don't know anything about anime, but we sure do love it. If you also don't know anything about anime and want some friends to watch a show with, come along and join us in watching Fruits Basket (2019)! We're starting at season 2 episode 2 cause why the heck not, and we'll be posting episodes that you can sync up with your Fruits Basket viewings from here on out!
