Last year, Fatboi Sharif’s career blew up with the deluxe edition of his album Gandhi Loves Children, his collab album with Roper Williams. His hellish music quickly became one of our biggest musical obsessions of the year. Since then, he’s been featured on records from Billy Woods, Moor Mother, Steel Tipped Dove, and Darko the Super, bringing his unique, unmatched style to every verse he’s done. We were fortunate enough to sit down with his recently to discuss his music making process, his lyrics, and his latest album with Noface, Preaching in Havana.

Vincent and Trevor take a look at two new projects: indie-rock legend Pedro the Lion’s ode to David Bazan’s temporary childhood home Havasu and English electronic musician Bonobo’s organic yet synthetic album Fragments.

Trevor and Vincent dive into the first batch of exciting projects in 2022, including The Weeknd’s latest exploration of 80s sounds Dawn FM, the long awaited project from Earl Sweatshirt SICK!, and CAPRISONGS, the first full-length project from FKA twigs since 2019.

Vincent and Trevor take a trip down memory lane with some reissues that made it to streaming services last year, including Mac Miller’s 2014 mixtape Faces, A$AP Rocky’s debut project LIVE.LOVE.A$AP and the new double re-release of Radiohead’s early 2000s albums Kid A and Amnesiac, Kid A MNESIA.
