Have you ever felt anxious even though nothing is actually wrong?
Maybe you wake up with that feeling in your stomach, your chest feels tight, your heart is beating faster, or you just feel on edge. Then your mind immediately starts searching for an explanation.
“Why do I feel anxious?”
“What am I worried about?”
“Is something wrong?”
In this episode of The Anxiety Relief Podcast, I explain why anxiety doesn’t always start with an anxious thought, how your nervous system can become overly sensitive to perceived threats, and why constantly trying to work out why you feel anxious can actually keep the cycle going.
We’ll look at why sometimes the feeling comes first and the thoughts come afterwards, and what you can do differently when anxiety seems to appear for no obvious reason.
You’ll also learn some simple ways to stop analysing the feeling, bring your attention back to the present, and carry on with your day without waiting for anxiety to disappear.
You don’t always need to solve anxiety. Sometimes you need to stop treating it like a problem that requires an immediate answer.
If anxiety is controlling your decisions or stopping you from living the life you want, I also explain how my 1:1 anxiety coaching can help you start responding to anxiety differently.

It’s been a little while since the last episode of The Anxiety Relief Podcast, and a lot has happened!
In this episode, I’m back behind the microphone to share a little of what I’ve been up to, including getting married, before talking about something I see all the time with anxiety: waiting until you feel “ready” before you start living your life.
“I’ll do it when my anxiety gets better.”
“I’ll go when I feel more confident.”
“I’ll try it when I know I won’t panic.”
The problem is, that feeling of being completely ready might never come.
In this short episode, I explain why confidence often comes after taking action, not before it, why constantly avoiding discomfort can keep anxiety going, and how taking small steps despite anxiety can start rebuilding trust in yourself.
I’ll also leave you with one simple question:
What would you do this week if you stopped waiting to feel ready?
If anxiety is controlling your decisions and you’re ready to start changing that, get in touch with me to find out more about my 1:1 anxiety coaching.

Have you ever had a big anxiety spike or panic episode, then felt wiped out the next day?
That foggy, shaky, low, emotionally flat feeling is something I call the anxiety hangover, and it can make you feel like you’ve gone backwards even when the worst of the anxiety has passed.
In this episode, I explain why the anxiety hangover happens, why it can feel so unpleasant, and how to respond in a way that helps your nervous system recover faster without feeding the fear.
You’ll learn a simple day after plan, including what to focus on, what to avoid, and how to keep gentle momentum so anxiety doesn’t steal your confidence.

In this episode of The Anxiety Relief Podcast, I explore how anxiety can begin to feel like part of who you are.
When you have lived with anxiety for a long time, it can stop feeling like something you experience and start feeling like your identity. You may begin to think, “This is just who I am” or worry that other people see you as the anxious one too.
In this episode, I talk about why that happens, how anxiety can become familiar in the mind and body, and why that does not mean it is permanent. I also explain why recovery can feel uncomfortable at first when anxiety has become your normal, and why letting go of anxiety is not about losing yourself, but finding more of yourself again.
If anxiety has started to shape how you see yourself, this episode is for you.
The Anxiety Relief Podcast is here to help you better understand anxiety, calm your nervous system, and move towards lasting relief.

In this episode, I’m sharing Nina’s story.
Nina is a previous client who opens up about what life was like before coaching, how anxiety was affecting her day to day life, and the ways it was holding her back.
She also shares what changed during our time working together, what helped her make progress, and what life looks like for her now on the other side of that anxiety cycle.
If you’re currently feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like anxiety is running the show, I want you to hear this. Stories like Nina’s are proof that change is possible, even when it feels like it isn’t.

If anxiety feels worse at night, you’re not alone.
Quiet rooms, body sensations, and the pressure to fall asleep can make your nervous system feel like it’s on high alert. You might feel fine in the day, then get into bed and suddenly feel wired. Or you wake up at 2am or 3am with a rush of adrenaline and your mind instantly goes into fear mode.
In this episode, I explain why night time anxiety can feel so intense, what’s really happening when you wake up panicking or restless, and the four common mistakes that accidentally keep the cycle going.
You’ll also learn a simple step by step response plan to follow in the moment, plus a short script you can use at 3am to stop the spiral and retrain your nervous system.
