An overall fantastic experience to go back to our universities to give some insight, hints, tips and tricks to current students regarding strategic thinking and what to expect once you leave the university environment. 

• Our talk involves how we prepared for the talk in-front of 50+ lecturers and students. 
• General feelings around presenting to an audience, our initial nervousness and how we managed to overcome these.

A little late on the release of this, but it's official that Chris was promoted at The Gold Studio’s.. 

From a 2 month Intern, then becoming a Talent Executive for 7 months, Chris is now an official Talent Manager and Lead for Global Partnerships

A crazy journey but a lot to unpack, so we sit-down and have an open and honest discussions about Chris's exciting future/next steps.

We discuss:

• How did this come about and why it happened so 'quickly'?
• Taking an intern on and changing his way of working to fulfill that manager role. 
• Building a new team to manage demands. 
• Being strategic within their team and business to align for their future business goals.
• Open and honest conversation with managers and people above you. Understand how you have grown and developed over your time in employment to help progress your skills. 
• Doing research on the market and what the level of experience, skills are to ask for progression / promotion

Before coming back to Bournemouth University for his final year studying Sports Management , Sam enrolled on Hampshire FA’s internship program, specifically working in the business and marketing team.

In this episode Sam shares he journey starting from trying gain a placement opportunity, to what he learn through his year and everything in-between.

We are back with some huge news, from our very own Chris Smith who has an exciting update for all of us! 

Since graduating back in 2021 Chris was on the hunt to work in talent management, with the goal of being an agent further down the line in his career. Chris volunteered and interned for several individuals and business, but most recently was interning at The Gold Studios which started in January 2022.

Then fast forward into the year to April this year, Chris gained a full time role as talent executive at ‘The Gold Studios’, a talent management and production agency based in London and New York, representing several content creators.
