Sasha shares the impact the internship has had on her formation: from the teaching and community support to the opportunity the internship offered to try new things in ministry. Along the way, she’s discovered giftings she never knew she had and begun to see what God may be calling her into next.

In this episode, Duncan talks with Jerome, a first‑year intern at St Swithun’s Retford. Jerome shares the story of how he came to apply for the internship, his journey of faith leading up to it, and what it’s been like serving in a small-town context. From trying new things, like praying on the streets, to growing in courage as he shares his faith with family and friends, Jerome reflects on how God has been moving around him.

He describes how the teaching, community, and opportunities to explore ministry have stretched him, almost like being in a “spiritual gym” and how he’s already seeing the fruit of committing this year to God.

In this episode, Duncan interviews Ethan, a second‑year intern at St Paul’s Carlton. Ethan shares how the teaching, community, and support from his church placement have helped him open up, grow in vulnerability, and step confidently into ministry and specifically worship leading. 

He also speaks passionately about creativity in worship and his desire to see the Church embrace it more fully. A powerful story of confidence, calling, and learning to use the voice God has given him.

In this episode, Duncan chats with Joelle, a first-year intern at Trinity Church Nottingham. She shares her life before the internship, what led her to apply, and the transformational discipleship journey she’s walked throughout the year.

Joelle shares her story of letting go of a high‑performance job and stepping into something completely different. Despite the big change, she talks honestly about not feeling the loss of what she left behind, but instead feeling more fulfilled than ever.

Through the internship, Joelle has discovered God’s long‑standing call on her life, especially her passion for ministry and youth work. She reflects on how Jesus has shaped her discipleship in ways that will last a lifetime, and how God has shown her the beauty of waiting on His voice, His timing, and His healing.
