Neal Moody opens by reading from Psalm 63 before introducing Steve Smith. Steve reviews some of what he had spoken about the last few times he was here, such as how glory follows order and how some churches teach cheap grace. He continues by giving his testimony of going from hardcore atheism to a believer in prison via one man's example. He addresses the failure in the church on retaining the next generation during and after college, while reminding us that persecution will come to those of us who choose to live in a godly manner and the necessity of relationships within the church, especially when dealing with burdens. Brenda Smith closes by speaking briefly about surrender.

Pastor Mike Thomas reflects on some of the events of the last 3.5 years of The Ark and some of the people we have met this past year. He also reviews the scripture that is the basis of where The Ark is going as a church.

Pastor Mike Thomas relates a commonly used phrase by parents to the way God woke him up the previous day to the way that many Christians today no longer attend church and wonder why they are powerless. He continues by noting how we now have several builders that are part of The Ark, relating that to how God is a builder and how Christ is the chief cornerstone that we should build everything upon. Pastor Mike concludes by reminding us of how God eagerly awaits our return as he reads about the prodigal son and how the father in that parable was watching and ready to celebrate and restore, not condemning the prodigal who felt unworthy to be restored.

Steve and Brenda Smith begin with a proclamation over The Ark from the first chapter of Joshua. Steve continues by describing the busy schedule of a meeting at The Ramp and how things are relative when it comes to time, such as worship at The Ramp lasting at least 2.5 hours and the fact that this particular message didn't start until nearly noon and how it didn't seem like it was that late already. He tackles the concept of how preconceived notions about how God may accomplish something can be detrimental in our own walk with Him. He further expounds on this by describing how we need to be in order by being in submission to God, instead of seeking after signs. He continues by speaking about the fivefold ministry gifts and dramatic examples. He concludes by talking about relating to each other within a family structure and never by our giftings.

Pastor Mike Thomas reminds us of the three types of relationships that we as believers have, focusing on how a believer should relate to the world. He also gives examples of how misconceptions from our childhood can affect our thinking and perceptions later in life from his own personal experiences. For example, he uses scripture to refute the cliche that Jesus is a friend of sinners. He goes on to address how God views the lost as well as how we should treat them, according to what the Bible says.

Neal Moody shares about the hope that we as Christians have with the return of Jesus, reminding us of how the Bible is our plumb line for absolute truth. He shares from his notes from our unrecorded Wednesday night sessions which had just concluded of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians.

Pastor Mike Thomas revisits an unrecorded sermon from early August, reminding us that if we don't know God as the Father then we don't truly know who we are. He also reads some staggering statistics from the US Census Bureau about how the lack of fathers has affected children.

Pastor Mike Thomas uses an example of how our own Steve and Brenda Smith rested in God as Hurricane Dorian blew by the Carolinas only days ago. He also cautions against seeking works-based merit with God like the brother of the prodigal son. He reminds us that storms teach us to rely on and trust in God when we have no control over our circumstances.

Steve Smith compares and contrasts the two different kinds of simplicity mentioned in the Bible, then addresses the fundamental flaws of the Cessationism ideology as backed by Scripture.
