Before we equip ourselves with the armor of God, we need to understand the spiritual warfare happening all around us. When we identify the enemy's schemes, we can equip ourselves to overcome him. 
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
