Recorded live from the HUSHConcerts Silent Disco at the San Francisco City Hall Centennial celebration back in the summer of 2015, this is one of my more memorable sets of the last few years and I've always wanted to re-post it on The Armory (this set previously lived on the Space Cowboys' SoundCloud page). So here it is a few years after the fact, but I think you'll find this set still holds up pretty well today. I hope you like! - Zach

Named after the moth of the same name, Figures of Eighty's sound conjures up stark images of the Nocturnal. Disused warehouses, dilapidated High-Rises, dis-attachment and aggression.

Rooted in early Hardcore and Jungle and borrowing from dance music's ever expanding themes, Figures of Eighty represent a fractured Rave culture. A genre of music hard to solely categorize but one that is at home on the outer edges...

Having a released on label's such as DRUM WRKS, Broken and their own imprint Torre, Figures of Eighty welcome you to sixty minutes of darkness...

Martin Flex aka PuRe SX, is one of the freshest names on the bass & breaks scene. A producer who knows how to drop the 808 boom and send the bodies flying around the room. Blasting out of the thriving UK underground since 2008, he currently DJs all over the world from USA to Russia, London to Spain, and beyond.

Famous for low end terrorism in the form of his smash hits Taking It Back, Shake Ur Body, Sunglasses, Another Day, Let Me Go, Bustin Dubz, 212 Booty and Link Up alongside Deekline, Martin Flex aka PuRe SX has picked up support for his music from all the top names on the scene, from Deekline to Stanton Warriors, Ed Solo to Lady Waks and Krafty Kuts to the Freestylers. After his successful "Let's Go Tours" of the U.S.A. in 2015 & 2016, came back for another U.S.A tour in 2017.

Here is a producer and DJ with the skills to lock down the club for as long as he's on the decks: a true original with an arsenal of floor-shaking weapons to get those hands up and keep them there 'til the break of dawn.

We have our good friends at Punks to thank for lining up this week’s special guest, Slamboree, for The Armory. Press play. Get down.

Recently described as a mash-up of Basement Jaxx and The Rocky Horror Picture Show performing at The Moulin Rouge, Slamboree are one of a kind ensemble. The idea was hatched in the deepest darkest crevices of multi-award winning producer Mike Freear’s mind after working closely with vocal powerhouse and linguistic snake charmer Kathika Rabbit and guided by the tantalising visuals of theatrical artistic director Lizzie West.

Slamboree is a collective of multi-skilled, revolutionary performers and musicians that put energy, passion and pure insanity into their unique and extravagant immersive stage experiences. Bringing the Slamboree storm to clubs and festival stages across the world - this is unlike anything you will have seen before.

You’ll hear them coming and they’re coming in full force….
