In this episode, Adam chats with author Robert B. O'Connor about his historical fiction book involving an elite platoon of WWII soldiers comprised of the likes of Mickey Rooney, Mel Brooks and even Sammy Davis Jr - all of whom provided entertainment for those on the front lines in what was known as a "Jeep Show". They do a deep dive into his book which focuses on a fictional infantryman, the historical context surrounding the shows, and what lessons we can draw from those who fought for our freedom.
