After a long delay, the final forgotten films of the 80s are upon us. And they look like a long forgotten - and perhaps underseen - Steven Spielberg film and a perhaps underappreciated time travel film in the shapes of 'Always' and 'Millennium', respectively.

We're spoiling basic plot points from the off, but major spoilers for Always start @ 22m40s; then we're into Millennium @ 1h12m, with heavy spoilers @ 1h34m30s, before wrapping it all up at 1h52m.

Ben and Alex round out the review of 1988's forgotten films with an ok religious satire and an outstanding survival thriller.

First up is the star-studded Pass the Ammo, featuring Tim Curry and a rare leading role for Bill Paxton, causing some Paxton Factor confusion.

Then (at 23m), the unduly forgotten action thriller Deadly Pursuit (AKA Shoot to Kill), starring Sidney Poitier, Tom Berenger, Kirstie Alley and Clancy Brown - as well as a handful of stunts and twists.

On the docket this week, Ben gives a view on bonkers, artful Nic Cage masterpiece 'Mandy'; Robert Redford's acting swansong, 'The Old Man and The Gun' (directed by David - not John - Lowery); and documentary 'Won't You Be My Neighbor?', detailing the career of the iconic children's presenter Mr Rogers. In looking at 1988's Forgotten Films, Alex chooses a listener recommendation in the shape of Christopher Crowe's Vietnam cop thriller, Saigon AKA Off Limits (spoilers start at 38m30s). Then it's Ben's turn (at 51m) with John Sayles' genre-defying retelling of the 1919 'Black Sox' baseball scandal, Eight Men Out (with spoilers at 1h22m), before wrapping things up - for the first part of 1988 at least... (at 1h 27m).

A triple bill of Netflix nuggets you for this week in the shape of a documentary about our times, an action thriller with a killer cast and a right proper western anthology. Ben's got the skinny on them and they're all worth watching.

Ben declares a 'twosy-doozy' and Alex has some reservations as they trawl through 1986 for a couple of Forgotten FIlms.

Ben's got Christopher Walken and Sean Penn in a tense, true life crime thriller with James Foley's At Close Range first (spoilers @ 52m30s); then Alex continues his descent into the bowels of sci-fi history (@ 1h7m) with frankly bonkers street-punk, teenage romance, sci-fi, spiritual, revenge action film, The Wraith.
