In 1985, Neil Postman observed an America imprisoned by its own need for amusement. Perhaps more than ever, his warnings have manifested into a culture deep in distraction. It may sound crazy at first, but think about it:  Is it possible that we're having too much fun? What are the ramifications for the Christian life steeped in perpetual entertainment? This is the issue we are addressing on this week's episode of the 10 Minute Think Thru.

Since January of 2015, we've been podcasting nearly every week about the Bible, theology, and current events. Netflix's original show, 13 Reasons Why, has become wildly popular, especially among teenagers. The show is about a teenage girl’s audio recording, left behind after her suicide, which explains the reasons why she killed herself. It's a controversial and dark show, nevertheless, it is loved by many young adults. Recently a parent asked us our thoughts and whether we thought teens should be allowed to watch it.
