When starting out in the arts without an art degree - where do you start to begin? Here I share ramblings about I put myself in a position where I can stumble into starting a career in the arts.

This is just a quick episode on my thoughts and feelings as I prepare for the Choreographer's Cup 2020. Finally decided to take the leap and pushed myself to simply be there!

Sometimes, as painful as it may be, it is the very people closest to us who may hinder us from pursuing a career in the arts. I know, I've been there. Which is why in this episode, I share the things I did to slowly let my parents approve of my career choice. I'm not fully there in terms of career stability, but I'm getting there!

So I realized that in the previous episode, I was talking about the allied arts and was trying to define it... Without sharing the context of how I learned about it! For this episode, allow me to share the journey to how I fell into discovering the allied arts.

Hey y'all I'm coming at ya with a brand overhaul!! Nah I'm kidding. I discovered something new recently called the ALLIED ARTS so now that's what I'll be sharing here!!!

Saying that the past year of my life was a roller-coaster might even be an understatement. In this period of time, I went through all sorts of emotions, mostly dominated by anxiety related to feeling "good enough" to be an artist. Looking back, I found two sources of anxiety and I share how I tried (and continue to try) my best to manage these. Disclaimer: The tips I shared here are mainly for non-diagnosed individuals.
