Spend your energy wildly as Dr. Gladys wrote in her book!
I am reposting here, the very first time Dr. Gladys went live on Instagram! It was an interview I set up between her and Dr. Zach Bush. Its an amazing conversation about her live. I hope you enjoy! Zoom ahead to the 16 minute mark! it took us a while to get her on!
In this episode, Katey talks with Ken Ross, son of Elizabeth Kübler-Ross, in a heartfelt conversation about life, legacy, and giving back. They discuss logistics for posting the interview and Ken’s upcoming trip to Cuba.
Katey reflects on Ken’s generosity, his dedication to the EKR Foundation, and his passion for photography and travel, which enrich both his life and the lives of others. She highlights how he carries forward his mother’s work while making a meaningful impact of his own.
Listeners are encouraged to explore Elizabeth Kübler-Ross’s teachings through her books, lectures, and the EKR Foundation. Katey emphasizes that her work remains deeply relevant today and urges sharing this episode to spread her insights and legacy.
Katey sits down with her dear friend, Dr. Michelle Doucette, to explore what it truly means to live a well-lived life. In this solo episode, host Katey Hauser reflects on the inspiration behind The Art of a Well-Lived Life and the legacy of her mentor, Dr. Gladys McGarey. She explores what it means to live with presence, purpose, and creativity—sharing stories from her travels, her Art Medicine retreat, and the everyday beauty of intentional living. A gentle reminder that a well-lived life isn’t about perfection, but about showing up fully, moment by moment.
This week, I had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Bernie Siegel — legendary surgeon, author of Love, Medicine & Miracles, and one of the dearest friends of Dr. Gladys McGarey.
We talked about what patients teach us when they survive the impossible, the relationship between creativity and healing, and how love and purpose transform our biology.
It’s a conversation about living — truly living — no matter what you’re facing.
Chandika, was the lead collaborative writer on Dr. Gladys McGarey's book, which was published two years before Gladys's passing. They worked together for almost 2 years, during which Chandika conducted interviews with Gladys and helped structure the book's content into the six secrets. Chandika and Katey discussed the impact of a book project with Dr. Gladys, a 101-year-old author who had a significant presence and message. They reflected on how Chandika helped Dr. Gladys articulate her life story and legacy, which resonated with many people despite being ahead of its time. They also shared personal anecdotes about Dr. Gladys's charisma and the spiritual experiences they had while working on the project.
