Hello again! I am still working on getting my editing software, so no theme song today. I am still working with the changes that Spotify for Podcasters has been throwing at me, so bear with me as I figure it out :)
This week's episode was inspired by a movie called Perfect Days. The moral of the story is that even in a life that is a bit structured and even repetitive, we can find beauty in the mundane.
That is sort of what I have been experiencing over the past few weeks, even months. I have been forced to slow down, and although I would normally shame and guilt myself over that, I have been working on some psychological reframes that allowed me to open up to the idea that slowing down is not giving up.
SLOWING DOWN is NOT GIVING UP.
I was reminded that the whole reason we manifest beautiful things into our lives is so that we can experience them. I recognized that I was so focused on "achieving," that I forgot the entire point of our human experience is to just be.
And paradoxically--as soon as I remembered that, and turned my attention to the present moment--all of the dreams that I had been longing for started to flow gently and easily to me.
So this is just a little reminder that if you feel like you are "falling behind," slowing down is not quitting. We are not on a time schedule.
And remember:
You cannot miss what you are destined for.
Sending so much love,
dahlia
